The hotel was exceptionally clean and perfect for one night. Our rooms were functional and updated with toothbrushes, a fan, and a shower. Our location was particularly good and magnificent in the Portsmouth area. It was really close to the town center, restaurants, pubs, public transport, shops.

Booked a room with different windows. The breakfast had plenty of food, like cereal, toast and fruit juice.

The employees of the hotel were knowledgeable.

The room was perfect and extremely pleasant, with a good bed and smoke detectors for safety. Easy check-in and efficient check-out. the hotel had a nice family feel to it.

Homey place overall, it is fairly clean, location is stunning to centre of Fareham. The stuff is accommodating, amicable. The hotel rooms are spotless with different windows. The best thing is location - close enough to restaurants, Fareham rail station, the ferry. They have lots of meals to choose from, the food is brilliant.

We stayed a few weeks ago and enjoyed our stay immensely the staff were extremely helpful and the breakfast very enjoyable but this time we were none too impressed with the reception or the breakfast and the service.

I had a lovely stay for two nights. The room was a decent size with a clean, modern bathroom. The hotel's location was excellent and perfect for accessing the cruise terminal.

The welcome was excellent & the room comfortable. Drinks provided included drinking chocolate & a cafetiere with ground coffee. This marked it up for me as having that 'special touch' Service at breakfast excellent witj breakfast cooked to order.

Nothing was too much for the hotel staff. Some people did not get the rooms together and the receptionist did all he could to try and arrange for this to be put right for them. Even though the hotel was fully booked that evening. There is only breakfast facilities at the hotel but there is plenty of places to eat within walking distance which was good for us as a couple who both have problems with walking any distance.

The only drawback for us was the room was on the first floor and needed a flight of stairs to get to it. But as I did not specify this in booking I did not feel it was to fault of the hotel.

The breakfast had a good selection including tea, fruit juice, toast, cereals, and porridge. the hotel's location is convenient for business travelers and overlooks a well-maintained garden. It is situated in a peaceful area.

The Travelrest offers clean and comfortable accommodation and is ideal if you just want a bed for the night or bed and breakfast. We can't comment on the breakfast as we were staying close to family members and had breakfast at their house. The breakfast room is a reasonable size and there was ample parking. The location was good in that it is on a major road, but you need transport as you are not in the centre of Fareham. The free wifi access was a bonus and the connnection was quite good. A good choice if you want simple clean and comfortable accommodation.

I thoroughly enjoyed the place, it was perfectly clean. the staff were super friendly. - Particularly good and excellent location on good quality local dining options was a plus. - Do recommend this place and would consider staying here again.

Friendly staff and a nice quiet hotel

Early check in was great and the staff were very helpful indeed. For the business traveller or anyone who requires a family room stop over this is the place.
